"Isn't it great when a plan comes together." This is not a quote that I think will ever be associated with wedding planning. I am sure it all works out in the end but there is no way that anyone has every planned a wedding without things (many things) changing along the way. What started out as a small intimate beachy wedding - no muss, no fuss - has turned into a very typical, traditional wedding. Don't get me wrong - I am not complaining...it's just hard for a control freak such as myself to accept that what I had originally "planned" is by no means where I ended up.
Case in point, my latest revelation...
Control-freak, deal seeker, efficient, practical - all words I would use to describe myself. (Ummm, why is Jud marrying me again? I sound like a total bore!) Anyway, with my self-described traits it was the logical thing in my mind to have as many of the photos taken before the ceremony for the following reasons:
- My hair will be "perfect", my makeup fresh, kids will be somewhat accommodating = control freak
- Bang for your buck - if the more posed pictures take place before, there will be so much more time for candids, etc. afterwards = deal seeker
- In order to ensure the most time spent mingling with our guests we would avoid a photo shoot after the ceremony and get to join the party immediately = efficient & practical
Well, the other night I became suddenly traditional and told Jud - "I have had a change of heart, I don't want you to see me before I walk down the aisle." To which he responds, "Okay." He was just waiting for me to say this...he knew that my practical plan would not work out. (Okay - I guess that's why Jud is marrying me - he gets me!)

Love it! You are so cute. Whatever you choose, the pictures are going to be perfect. Even if you hair has fallen loose (which it won't) and your make up is no longer perfectly fresh (which it will be) you are going to have that beautiful glow of a woman in LOVE! It would be awesome to see Jud's face at the moment he first glimpses you in all your fantastic, dazzling glory, but either way, the day and those pics are going to be gorgeous!
Thanks, Stacy.
