That's a Wrap!

Well, it's been 17 days since we said "I do" and I am still recuperating. It was a fantastic day with a few minor glitches but nothing of significant consequence.

The groom, groomsmen and ushers, ultimately, looked so handsome in their tuxedos and the maids were a truly stunning group. The pictures will surely confirm that.

Westen was swimming (both literally and figuratively) in his tux and was not truly happy until he was allowed to run around in his black dress shirt and diaper - but who can blame him!?

With many compliments on all aspects of the evening - the most heard kudos were for avoiding the "traditions" and just having a party - no garter, no bouquet, no cake cutting, and no speeches. Actually speeches were planned but just didn't happen - much to the dismay [insert sarcastic tone here] of the MOH and Bestman.

We were honored by performances from Jud's Aunt Connie and Uncle Mark during the ceremony as well as when Mike (the acoustic musician for the early part of the evening) took a break and treated to a surprise performance from Alisha which we LOVED (and brought tears to our eyes.)

The night continued on after a fabulous meal and dessert with dancing and dancing and more dancing...the bar was busier than they had ever been and the dance floor was never empty! Just what Jud and I had wanted!!!

To all that had some part in this day, a million thank you's! Without you this day would not have been nearly as special. As my dear friend Jill said, "Enjoy it...you will likely NEVER get all of these special people in same room again." And she was so right - and I think we certainly did try to make the most of it all.
